Group therapy

Grow Together. Heal Together. Thrive Together.

Group therapy brings together individuals who share similar experiences in a safe, supportive, therapist-led setting. Unlike individual therapy, group sessions allow members to connect with peers, learn from different perspectives, and practice new skills in real time.

Many people feel alone in their struggles—whether it’s stress, anxiety, relationships, or life transitions. Group therapy helps reduce that sense of isolation by creating a space for encouragement and understanding. It combines the professional guidance of a therapist with the unique support of peers who “get it,” making it a powerful tool for growth and healing.

Our groups are carefully structured and led by trained therapists. Each session includes guided discussion, skill-building activities, and opportunities for connection. Groups meet weekly, and space is limited to ensure everyone has time to participate.

The Turning Season: Where Sorrow Meets Meaning
A Grief Therapy Group for Women

Grief is not something to “get over” but a sacred passage that reshapes who we are. The Turning Season: Where Sorrow Meets Meaning is an eight-session, biweekly therapy group designed to provide women with a supportive and guided space to honor loss, engage in the work of mourning, and rediscover meaning in the wake of sorrow.

This small, intimate group (limited to 10 participants) is open to women who have experienced the loss of a partner, relative, or close friend. Together, we will walk through the “gates of grief,” exploring both the clinical and spiritual dimensions of loss while learning how sorrow, when given expression, can open us to deeper connection and transformation.

Drawing on the writings of Francis Weller, Irvin Yalom, and Mary-Frances O’Connor, our work will be supported by reflective discussion, guided practices, and healing rituals. We will honor our grief through a stone ritual, gather in rhythm through a drum circle, and cultivate a space where both sorrow and joy can be held.

Session Themes:

  • An Apprenticeship with Sorrow — Understanding grief as both a clinical and sacred experience

  • The Five Gates of Grief — Exploring personal and collective sorrows

  • Rituals of Renewal — Honoring both days of sorrow and days of joy

  • The Healing Ground — Befriending the darkness, integrating loss, and stepping into ancestral wisdom

Details:

  • Format: Eight, one-hour sessions, biweekly

  • Dates: Wednesdays at 7pm, Sept. 24 – Dec. 31 (9/24, 10/8, 10/22, 11/5, 11/19, 12/3, 12/17, 12/31)
