Xenia Hykoski, M.A., Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Xenia Hykoski is a graduate of Rollins College with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With over ten years of experience working with children, including four years in a private school setting. She has developed a deep passion for supporting youth in the mental health field. Xenia works with children ages 5 to 12, helping them navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.

She integrates Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered techniques to support children dealing with anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, trauma, life transitions, separation/divorce, behavioral concerns, and difficulty managing emotions. Xenia believes in building strong therapeutic relationships with both children and caregivers through empathy, active listening, and collaboration. In addition to her work with children, Xenia provides guidance to caregivers on age-appropriate parenting strategies to support healthy emotional development and behavior management at home.

Her approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. Xenia’s counseling philosophy centers on empowering children to develop autonomy and build resilience, while honoring their individual life circumstances. Her warm, upbeat, and encouraging presence helps children feel seen, supported, and capable of handling future challenges.

Outside of the office, Xenia enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her cat. She loves being outdoors, rollerblading, going to the beach, and also enjoys dining out.
