Susan Bearden, MS, LMHC, LMFT, LPC, Qualified Supervisor

Susan Bearden is a dual-licensed therapist for clinical mental health counseling and marital, couples, and family therapy in both Florida and Pennsylvania. She is also a Qualified Supervisor for provisionally licensed MHC and MFT providers. She has been working in the field of mental and social well-being since 2009 when she first began in business administration for a nonprofit that served at-risk youth in the inner-city schools of Miami. Susan realized the disparity between business administration in provider organizations and decided to pursue a clinical graduate degree. She received her Master of Science in Counseling with a dual specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marital, Couples, and Family Therapy from Barry University in 2013. Throughout her career thus far, Susan often spans both clinical and business administration roles with mental and behavioral health organizations, fulfilling a passion for both organizational quality and efficiency in healthcare and clinical quality. She has worked for several organizations including The Non-Violence Project, Cancer Support Community, Orlando Health, University of Central Florida, and more. She also founded and led a nonprofit mental health counseling agency during part of her career. Now, she focuses on private practice offering therapy services to individuals, couples, and families, clinical supervision and training for graduate and post-graduate therapists, and consulting for providers and provider organizations.

Susan is passionate about helping others and making the world a better place. She is especially passionate about addressing disparities for others and in systems. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to the unique needs of the client, integrating concepts and techniques from Psychodynamic, Client-centered, Solution-focused, Emotion-focused, Somatic Experiencing, Psychoneuroimmunology, Cognitive Behavioral, Internal Family Systems, Exposure Response, Imago, and Mindfulness-based therapies. In her spare time, Susan enjoys learning, writing, meditating, spending quality time with loved ones, and being in nature.
