ARIADNE “RAVEN” STEVENSON, M.A., REGISTERED MENTAL HEALTH

Ariadne “Raven” Stevenson, M.A., is a licensed psychotherapist who works with adolescents (ages 13+) and adults, providing individual and couples therapy for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship difficulties, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attachment trauma, body image concerns, eating disorders, and other trauma-related disorders and symptoms.

Raven holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College, where she completed over 800 clinical hours during her practicum and internship at the Orlando VA Medical Center, becoming the first Rollins student to intern within that program. There, she provided individual and group counseling to veterans experiencing PTSD, moral injury, loss, and adjustment difficulties while receiving specialized training in Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Written Exposure Therapy, and the assessment and treatment of trauma-related disorders. She is also trained in the administration of the Clinician-Administered PTSD Scale for DSM-5 (CAPS-5), considered the gold standard assessment for PTSD.

As a Certified Attachment Trauma Specialist, Raven specializes in helping clients heal from developmental, relational, and attachment-based trauma. Her work integrates attachment-focused interventions, Internal Family Systems (IFS), parts work, DBT-informed skills, and trauma-focused approaches designed to help clients understand and transform long-standing emotional and relational patterns. She is particularly passionate about helping clients break cycles of trauma reenactment, establish healthy boundaries, and cultivate secure relationships with themselves and others.

Raven is also a Certified Shame Informed Treatment Specialist (CSTS) with advanced training in eating disorders, disordered eating, addictive eating, and body shame. Her approach recognizes that many eating disorders and body image struggles develop as adaptive responses to trauma, anxiety, and shame. She helps clients move beyond self-criticism and reconnect with their bodies through compassion, empowerment, and evidence-based treatment strategies.

In her couples work, Raven specializes in helping partners navigate communication difficulties, trust injuries, attachment wounds, and major relationship transitions. She has particular expertise working with Age Gap Relationships (AGR) and provides an affirming, nonjudgmental environment for couples whose relationships may not fit traditional societal expectations. Raven also offers Discernment Counseling, a short-term process designed for couples in which one partner is considering separation or divorce while the other hopes to preserve the relationship. This structured approach helps couples gain clarity and confidence in determining the best path forward. Additionally, she provides divorce counseling and coparenting support to help families navigate separation with greater understanding and stability.

Raven's therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and direct. She believes meaningful healing occurs within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship that fosters self-reflection, accountability, and growth. Her goal is to help clients better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and build lives that feel authentic, connected, and meaningful.
