Byron Dawson, MA, Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Byron knows how overwhelming life can feel when the days move too fast, or the weight of daily responsibilities becomes too much. Many of the clients he works with feel stuck in cycles of irritability, frustration, or self-doubt. They might feel like they’re falling short of their goals and struggle to manage the impact this has on their work, school, or relationships. Byron’s approach focuses on meeting clients where they are and helping them find a way forward.
Using a mindful, cognitive-behavioral approach, Byron helps clients build a healthier relationship with their thoughts and emotions. He works to provide practical tools for reducing stress and developing new ways to cope, empowering his clients to face life’s challenges one step at a time.
Byron has a particular passion for working with teens, drawing on his extensive experience in substance use prevention, anger management, and teaching effective coping skills. He is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their struggles, uncover their strengths, and make meaningful changes.
Byron recognizes that deciding to start therapy is a courageous step, and he is honored to walk alongside his clients on their journeys of self-discovery and growth.
